In fandom news, I am loving SGA Big Bang. I've only managed to finish one story so far, aesc's A Face That Nobody Knows. It's a lovely noir AU story with Rodney as the dectective and John as his client. I realised today that the bonus of having to organise everything at work is that I get to take home any of the books which interest me. This translates as my 'must read' pile of books growing a hell of a lot more. I'd say it's over four feet now.

1. I had a twenty minute conversation about how awesome Stephen Fry is.
2. Discussed the merits of Bale v. Keaton/Clooney/Kilmer Batman movies.
3. Was complimented for my dry sarcastic wit by the office's mega-la-geek.
4. Pulled apart Doctor Who's Journey's End for, well, the ending.

He was a Dubliner by birth but a Sligo man by heart, a Nobel Prize recipient and "very poor in spelling", an occultist, a lover unrequited, a nationalist, a senator and a co-founder of the Abbey Theatre. My company just announced today that it's shutting down. Everyone is out of a job so 130 redundancies in all.
